Graphic Design: How does the design process work?

Once a contract has been approved and signed, you will need to send 1/2 of the total amount due for the initial payment. Once you have completed the payment, our graphic designers will contact you (or vice-versa) and you will supply one of our graphic designers with a concept that you'd like to see (or at least a round-about idea that we can work with). If you have pre-selected images that you would like to use (on print material), then you would send those as well. They will have to be provided in high resolution at a minimum of 300 DPI (dots per inch for print materials) and there should be settings/options in your scanner software to allow you to do so. The dimensions should be fairly close to the final size you would like on your design.

Should you have no images to supply, we will provide them for you to approve/reject. For website design/development you will need to provide us with a list of the navigation items you would like. For example, on our site they are:

  • Home
  • Pre-Employment Screening
  • Publishing
  • Manual Translations
  • Database Management, etc...

You will also need to tell us what components you would like to install from our standard components list.

As you gather all the required materials, our graphic designers will begin working on a first draft of your website for you to approve the basics, such as color scheme, navigation positioning & general content layout. If you are unhappy with the first draft, you will be provided with alternate designs until you are comfortable moving forward. (Note: This action must take place during the first design approval process!).

Over the course of the next week, we will setup the structure of the site and insert all the content you have gathered for us. We will also install and configure any of the components you have selected. Afterwards it's basically a lot tweaking this and that until everything is picture perfect, and then of course you have to pay us the remaining 50%. Once the site is live, if you ordered Search Engine Optimization (*highly* recommended) we will code aspects of your site that the search engines recognize to get traffic to your website as soon as possible.

Time Line:

We pride ourselves on due diligence and aim for a <=15 day period for each project, but from our experience, it may take a bit longer to get the site exactly as you envision it.

Other Notes:

  • You are not limited to the first draft phase to submit all of your content, we will actively add new content to your website as you acquire it, but please try to send updates in batches rather than one at a time.
  • Shopping cart / E-commerce websites have a higher time line than informational websites due to gathering and entering specific product information (Titles, Prices, Dimension, Descriptions, Photos, etc...).
  • Search Engine Optimization may take a long period of time to fully benefit your site (6 months and sometimes more for desired keywords), this is due to the massive amount of websites currently on the internet and many, many search engine variables. However, if someone searches your company name, they will most likely find you in a matter of 2 weeks or so.
